Bom dia!! Ainda estamos aqui nessa maravilhosa cidade! Desde a ultima vez que escrevi muita coisa aconteceu!
Domingo fomos para as Cataratas no Parque Nacional Del Iguazú, na Argentina. Perdemos o fôlego ao chegarmos na “Garganta do Diabo”! Com seu volume enorme e uma força inexplicável, a água caía formando uma cortina de fumaça! Em seguida partimos para o Duty Free da cidade de Puerto Iguazú; alguns estudantes ficaram muito felizes, pois conseguiram comprar chocolates e doces típicos de seus países! Voltamos para o hotel e à noite, fomos jantar em um restaurante onde comemos um delicioso rodízio de pizza!
Na terça-feira após o café da manhã fomos visitar o Paraguai! Os meninos se esbaldaram; compraram tênis, casacos, meias, eletrônicos... tudo a um preço muito baixo! À noite, mais um espetáculo: fomos jantar no Rafain Churrascaria Show, um restaurante com uma variedade gigantesca de comida, churrasco e música. No Rafain, teve uma apresentação após o jantar de danças típicas de vários países. Todos adoraram e alguns ate participaram do show, certo Joanna?!?!?!
Ontem fomos conhecer Itaipu: a maior usina hidrelétrica do mundo! Ela é considerada uma das sete maravilhas da engenharia moderna, de acordo com a lista publicada pela revista “Popular Mechanics”, dos Estados Unidos. Depois partimos para uma grande aventura; fomos para o Parque Nacional do Iguaçu, no lado Brasileiro onde tivemos a oportunidade de fazer o Macuco Safári Ride, um emocionante passeio de barco no Rio Iguaçu pelo lado de baixo das cataratas! O barco chega bem perto das cataratas, o que da uma mistura de medo com excitamento, além de todos saírem totalmente molhados! Os intercambistas estavam bem animados, e o passeio conseguiu superar todas as expectativas deles: simplesmente amaram! Fizemos também uma caminhada de mais ou menos 1 km pelo parque. As quedas d’água são maravilhosas, e tiramos nossa foto em grupo nesse cenário perfeito!
A noite...mais emoção! Jantamos em nosso hotel e logo em seguida tivemos o tão esperado Show de Talentos! Foram 08 apresentações!!!
Daqui a pouquinho, logo após o café, vamos nos despedir dessa maravilhosa cidade e seguiremos viagem para Curitiba, a capital desse maravilhoso estado!!! Vamos nos despedir também dos intercambistas que optaram pelo tour somente a Foz: vou sentir saudade de vocês Annamaria , Zack, Jan, Lydia e Alasdair!!!

Good Morning! We still are here, in this wonderful city! A lot happened since the last time we sent news!
On Monday as I told you we went to visit the falls at the National Park of Iguazú, in Argentina. We got breathless when we saw the “Devil´s Throat”! With its huge amount of water and an unimaginable power, the water fell, showing a smoke curtain! Then we went to Puerto Iguazu duty-free store! Some students were really happy because they got to buy chocolates and typical candies from their countries! At night we went to have dinner in a restaurant, where we ate some delicious pizza!
On Tuesday after the breakfast we went to Paraguay! The exchange students loved it; they bought tennis shoes, coats, socks, and electronic stuff! Everything at very short rates! At night, another spectacle: we went to Rafain Churrascaria (a steak house on a Brazilian way), with a great variety of food, meat and music. At Rafain, there was a presentation of typical dances from different countries after dinner and some students even participated of the show, right Joanna?!?!?! They loved it!
Yesterday we went to Itaipú, the largest hydroelectric power plant in the word! It is considered one of the seven wonders in modern engineering, according to the American magazine “Popular Mechanics”. Then we left for a great adventure; we went to the National Park of Iguassu in the Brazilian side, where we had the chance to make the Macuco Safari Ride, an exciting boat ride on the Iguassu river! The boat gets really close to the falls, which brings us a blend of fear and excitement, besides getting really wet! Everyone was so excited, and the ride was much better than the students expected: they simply adored it! At the park, we went for a 1 km walk too. The waterfalls were wonderful!!
At night, after dinner we had the so expected Talent Show: we had 8 presentations!!!!!
Today, after breakfast, we will say goodbye to this marvelous city and continue our trip to the capital of this marvelous state: Curitiba! We will also say goodbye to the students who just choose the tour to Iguassu Falls: I’ll miss you guys – Annamaria , Zack, Jan, Lydia and Alasdair!!
