Escrevo agora da cidade de Buenos Aires (em português Bons Ares), capital federal da República da Argentina. É a terceira maior cidade da América do Sul e um dos maiores centros urbanos do mundo! Como falei, viemos para cá de Ferry boat no domingo. A travessia de 1 hora ate aqui foi bem tranqüila, e os meninos ainda se esbaldaram dentro do Duty Free shop dentro do ferry boat!
Na segunda pela manhã saímos para um city tour panorâmico por essa maravilhosa cidade. Passamos pelos principais pontos como Avenida 9 de Julio (a mais larga do mundo), Avenida Corrientes (onde está o Obelisco, símbolo de Buenos Aires), teatro Colón (que infelizmente não visitamos internamente pois está fechado para reforma) e Plaza de Mayo, onde vimos o Cabildo e Casa Rosada. Em seguida visitamos o bairro La Boca; entramos no famoso La Bombonera (estádio de futebol do Boca Juniors), e fomos à rua Caminito, onde vários estudantes tiraram fotos com dançarinos de Tango! Terminamos nosso tour no bairro de Puerto Madero, um dos mais caros daqui para morar! Voltamos para nosso hotel caminhando e os intercambistas tiveram a oportunidade de conhecer a Rua Florida para mais compras!! Jantamos em uma deliciosa pizzaria e em seguida visitamos o HARD ROCK CAFÉ! Vários intercambistas compraram camisas para sua coleção!
Ontem aproveitamos para dormir até mais tarde, pois o dia seria longo. Saímos 10:00 para o bairro mais chique de Buenos Aires: Recoleta. Andamos pela Avenida Alvear, onde se encontram grifes famosas, prédios e construções belíssimas. Visitamos também o cemitério de La Recoleta: parece uma obra de arte!! Fomos até o túmulo da Evita Perón, que é um dos mais procurados! Tivemos almoço livre e a tarde fomos para o bairro Palermo Soho e...mais compras!
À noite saímos para jantar e assistir a um show de Tango em um charmoso lugar chamado La Ventana!! Foi um espetáculo maravilhoso e muito cultural! Todos saíram de lá querendo aprender a dançar tango!!
Hoje tivemos manhã livre para descansar e nos despedir de Buenos Aires. Sairemos daqui a pouco para nossa ultima parada antes de começar o retorno para o Brasil: El Palmar! De lá, mando nossas ultimas notícias!

Good morning!
I’m writing now from the city of Buenos Aires (Bons Ares in Portuguese), the federal capital of the Republic of Argentina. It is the third largest city of South America and one of the largest urban centers in the world! As I wrote before, we arrived by ferry Sunday. The one hour trip until here was great, and the students enjoyed to spend time (and money) at the duty free shop of the Ferry boat!
Monday morning we went out for a panoramic city tour of this marvelous metropolis. We encountered such points of interest as Avenida 9 de Julio (the widest avenue in the world!), Avenida Corrientes (site of the famous obelisk, symbol of Buenos Aires), theatre of Colón (that unfortunately we couldn’t visit because it was closed for reformation) Plaza de Mayo, where we saw the the Cabildo and the Casa Rosada. Next we visited the neighborhood of La Boca; entering the famous La Bombonera (football stadium of Boca Juniors), and we went to Caminito street, where various exchange students took photos with Tango dancers! We finished our tour with the neighborhood of Puerto Madero, one of the most expensive places to live! We returned to our hotel walking so the students could visit the famous Florida Street to make more purchases!! At night, we had dinner at a delicious pizza house and just after, we visited HARD ROCK CAFÉ!! Many students bought T-shirts and had a lot of fun!!
Yesterday we enjoyed sleeping a little later, because the day would be a long one. We left the hotel at about 10:00 for the neighborhood that is known as the most glamorous in Buenos Aires: Recoleta. We walked to the Avenida Alvear, where we encountered beautiful constructions and buildings. We visited also the cemetery of La Recoleta: an absolute work of art!! We well there we were able to visit the tomb of the world famous Evita Perón! We had a free lunch and then went to the famous neighborhood of Palermo Soho to do some more shopping!
During the night we went out to dinner and a Tango show at a place called La Ventana! The show was amazing, and they showed lot of Argentinean culture! Everyone wanted to learn to dance as a result!!
Today we had a free morning to rest and say goodbye to Buenos Aires. In a bit we will leave to the last stop of this great South American Adventure before we come back to Brasil: El Palmar! From there I will send the last news!
