Curitiba!!

Bom Dia!

Good Morning!!

Today is another cold day here in the south region of Brazil! I’ll tell you everything now of the last few days! We left Foz do Iguaçu Wednesday morning and arrived here in Curitiba, the capital of Paraná state abut 7:30pm, when we received 3 more exchange students that will continue the trip with us! Our dinner was included at the hotel and about midnight we went to sleep!

Yesterday morning we started our city tour through this city that is really appreciated by the architects! We visited the Oscar Niemeyer museum where everyone was really enthusiastic about the expositions, João Paulo II bush (Memorial of the Polish culture), where our student from Poland, Joanna, was really excited!! We also visited the Wire Opera and the Tanguá Park. Just after we met the group of students from district 4640, who are passing by Curitiba in a tour organized by their district and Chairman Irineu Feiten! It was really great to see the groups together; some students cried a lot because the last time they saw each other was at the Northeast trip!

We had lunch together at “Madalosso”, one of the biggest restaurants in the world, which have 8 saloons with capacity of about 4.600 seats, at the charming neighborhood of “Santa Felicidade”! In the afternoon we continued our tour (both groups together) and visited the Botanical Garden and the last place “Largo da Ordem”. At night we had free time near the hotel to have dinner and then came back to the hotel to rest!

In a while we will go to Morretes by train (trough “Serra do Mar”) and after lunch continue our journey to Florianópolis! From there, I’ll send more news!

Best regards from Curitiba, PR.
